The company operates a 12,000 square foot, high-mix quick-turn manufacturing facility for quick-reaction CCA prototyping and low-rate initial production (LRIP); ideal for converting our best ideas into your hardware solutions. Furthermore, Nova maintains strategic partnerships with external manufacturing for full rate production.

Nova Engineering's designs typically feature micro-miniaturized circuits built with extensive use of surface mount components, such as 0201 parts and 1172-pin flBGAs. Assembly is primarily accomplished by using automated placement machines.


To test our products, Nova Engineering uses an instrumented setup of appropriate configuration for the complexity and quantity of units to be tested. For larger manufacturing runs, computer-driven automated test routines are enlisted to run an entire rack of test equipment. Testing is done at both circuit board level and system level for the more complex products, and thermal chambers are used for product burn-in prior to final test and delivery. For sensitive RF tests, three Lindgren RF isolation rooms are available. In support of test requirements, Nova Engineering has an extensive inventory of test instruments, including:

Nova Engineering's Quality System is ISO 9001:2000 Certified by independent auditors, and is tailored to reflect the nature of our engineering and manufacturing operations. An Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) prevention program is in place, and products are built, stored, and handled appropriately for their performance requirements. A one-year warranty is offered on all products, unless customer requirements dictate otherwise.
